The United States Government, today donated six Laptop computers to the EFCC during a courtesy visit to the Commission's Headquarters in Abuja. The Director, Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs, USA, Roselyn Wiase, who led the six man delegation urged the Commission to continue in its vigorous fight against Corruption.
"We are not unmindful of your contribution to the fight against economic and financial crimes in Nigeria. The United States Government therefore donates this Laptops to your organization to support your Mission” she said.
My thoughts
Six Laptops donated to Nigeria to fight crime! Wonderful, great magnanimity from America!
Permit me to think out of the box! If I know America very well and their interest in this particular administration, they have shown so much support for Nigeria's government especially the fight against corruption.
Are the laptops normal laptops or specialized make security wise?
If they are normal laptops, do you think as honorable, distinguished and great as America, is it 6(Six), laptops they can afford to donate to the almighty EFCC to fight the monumental and gargantuan colossus called corruption?
Are the laptops real? Are they not infused to monitor other laptops in the agency and collect information for America.?
If they are ordinary laptops, upon all the presidential visits and plea to America to help the Efcc in the corruption fight, won't we be right to look at this donation as an insult, or making fun of the government on Efcc's supposed fight?
Like I said, I am only thinking out of the box! You know how Nigerian's suspect everything now? They don't like to be taken unawares. I am sure there are Nigerian adages and proverbs that can explain my thinking, help me now! What do you think?
