Competition Of Destinations (People's choices)

In the early 70s, the United Kingdom was the center of choice for tourism, shopping, education especially for the developing and the underdeveloped countries of the world otherwise known as the third word countries.

If any one wanted to travel abroad, it was a status symbol to have visited the UK. They were the colonial masters, they were our missionaries and they were our examples in town planning, economy and social growth.

 It became a status symbol for anyone who either went to school there or had any affiliations there.

As time went on, the USA became the destination of choice! It became the economic base of the world, the super police of the world, the example of democracy and good governance of the world, the trade center of the world, the religious haven to the Christians even though they didn't send missionaries!
People started learning the culture of America in every thing including lifestyles, music, dressings and even church life! 

Today as much as the influence of America has dominated the whole world, economically and developmentally, there seems to be a shift! Just like it happened to the UK, people are finding pleasure in other destinations now.
Of recent, rich men are not looking forward to migrating to be early hills of America, they are finding alternative luxury in UAE! Those who are interested in business now find allies in China!

What exactly is happening?
